Lizhong Jiang, Partner of Qinli Legal, commented: “Chongqing, as the only municipality directly under the central government in the central and western region, will be vigorously promoting its opening-up and regional cooperation through China’s ‘14th Five-Year Plan’; integrating into the Belt and Road Initiative and the Yangtze river economic belt development; and implementing a wider-range, broader-scope and deeper-level opening-up. Chongqing will, in western region, head and drive the opening-up; and become a hub of a new development pattern for ‘China’s dual-cycle model with an emphasis on domestic demand in China’. Along with the opportunities, there are huge challenges. With each country’s legal and tax regulatory becoming increasingly strict, many countries and regions have introduced new laws and regulations, which have had a profound impact on the global landscape of cross-border investments, operation, assets and business layout. In light of the volatile international environment, Qinli Chongqing will provide a full range of legal services for domestic enterprises, with a specific spectrum on real estate, construction projects, domestic and foreign investment and M&A, finance and SOE’s assets regulatory.”
